Ingredients:

For the Salmon Bites:
  • 2 salmon fillets, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Oil for frying (or cooking spray for air fryer)
For the Bang Bang Sauce:
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust for spice preference)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon lime juice

Preparation :

  1. Prepare the Salmon Bites:
    • Pat the salmon dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
    • Coat each salmon piece in flour, then dip in beaten egg, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  2. Cooking Methods:
    • Frying: Heat oil in a pan to 350°F (175°C) and fry the salmon bites for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Drain on a paper towel.
    • Air Frying: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray the salmon bites with cooking spray and air fry for 8-10 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  3. Make the Bang Bang Sauce:
    • Mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice in a bowl until smooth.
  4. Assemble & Serve:
    • Toss the crispy salmon bites in the bang bang sauce or drizzle it on top.
    • Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds.
