Classic Cherry Delight

Ingredients:
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- Β½ cup melted butter
- ΒΌ cup sugar
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (Cool Whip)
- 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling

Instructions:
- Prepare the Crust:
- In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar until well combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- Chill in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes while preparing the filling.
- Make the Creamy Layer:
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
- Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
- Fold in the whipped topping gently until fully incorporated.
- Assemble the Dessert:
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the graham cracker crust.
- Spoon the cherry pie filling over the top, spreading it evenly.
- Chill & Serve:
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (preferably overnight) to allow the flavors to meld.
- Slice and serve chilled.
